Manufacturers of High Quality Wood Products

We specialize in creating the highest quality products across the wood products spectrum from raw log to finished products.

Stacked Veneer

The vast majority of the veneer that we manufacture is made from Douglas Fir due to the high quality of the species’ wood fiber.

Douglas Fir Plywood

Freres Lumber Co., has been the industry leader in the production of high-quality sheathing and touch sanded plywood panels since 1998.

Our primary lumber products are variations of 2Γ—3 through 4Γ—6 dimensions in softwood species such as Douglas Fir or Hemlock.

Jobs and Opportunities

We employ nearly 500 individuals in the North Santiam Canyon (the communities of Lyons and Mill City, Oregon). Job opportunities exist in our veneer manufacturing operations, a stud mill, our cogeneration facility, trucking, and in our forestry and road building departments.

Freres Lumber Co., Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer

We are dedicated to attracting, developing, and retaining a diverse workforce of people from all walks of life, backgrounds, and cultures. We believe in promotion from within and always look internally before recruiting externally.

Mass Plywood Panel

MPP is a massive, large scale, structural composite lumber based panel designed as an alternative to Cross Laminated Timbers (CLT). CLT products have been used in Europe for decades as a substitute for concrete construction, and have recently been used in multi-story construction in the United States.

Freres Lumber Co.

Last week we were pleased to host a student tour of our Mass Plywood Panel Plant for National Manufacturing Day with approximately 100 students from Amity, Silverton and Stayton high and middle schools.

We also set up information tables with company representatives from our Maintenance, Millwright, Production, Sales/Innovativeness, Timber and Trucking departments. All the tables were available to answer questions and discuss their responsibilities at the company. Thanks to the Willamette Education Service District for arranging the visit and giving us an opportunity to present some exciting opportunities available in our industry to the future workforce. We wish all of these students the best as they embark on new careers and adventures! πŸ‘
